The Götschendorf Mansion

Herrenhaus Götschendorf, 17268 Götschendorf

Atrium in Götschendorf manor house (Uckermark)

The Götschendorf manor house between Templin and Joachimsthal was built in 1910 for the "von Arnim" family and is a neo-baroque building. The impressive atrium opens up from the second floor over two floors. It is regionally known as the residence of Hermann Göring, who used Götschendorf as a hunting and guest house during the Second World War. Afterwards, it served permanently as a location for various state organs such as the NVA or the Stasi until the early 1990s.

Since 2010, a religious institution has been located on the former estate grounds at Kölpinsee. Several new buildings have been erected for this purpose in the last ten years. The manor house has been partially renovated and will later be integrated as a multifunctional building (2020).

Listings: Historic houses with courtyard.
